Bentley and Audi will offer GT-electric versions on the market based on the future Porsche Mission E, which will be released in the market in 2019, the Automobile magazine said, referring to its sources at the Volkswagen Group.
It is assumed that the electric model of Bentley will be called Barnato – in honor of driver Wolf Barnato, one of the legendary Bentley guys. He is part of a winning team three times in a row – in 1928, 1929 and 1930, for 24 hours Le Mans. Audi, meanwhile, called it an e-tron GT, and is similar to other electric cars that are currently being prepared by the company.
It is known that the future Porsche Mission E – the first electric car of the manufacturer of sports cars from Stuttgart, will cost as much as the price of Panamera. The model will be available with several different performances, and the top version will receive 3 electric motors – two on the rear axle and one on the front. The total power will be 936 hp and the range will be about 500 km.

The other two luxury car models in the VW group – Bugatti and Lamborghini also plan to electrify their models. However, they will not produce clean electric vehicles, but hybrids that will be powered by the power grid. The machines will use the MSB chassis of the Porsche Panamera, which is available in a hybrid version with a combination of petrol and an electric motor.
