The open DB11 Volante will be the third variant in the DB11 family – after versions with V12 and V8 engines.

The DB 11 Volante will come with an overlapping soft roof, which takes 14 seconds to open, that is, 16 seconds to close, at speeds of up to 50 kilometers per hour. Interestingly, Aston Martin has decided to introduce the DB11 Volante with the V8 twin-turbo gasoline, originating from the AMG, rather than the larger V12.
However, the 4-liter V8 is not at all underestimated – it delivers 510 horsepower and 695 Nm of torque. In cooperation with the 8-speed automatic transmission it is expected to launch the DB11 Volante to 100 km / h in just over 4 seconds and can reach nearly 300 mph.

According to Aston Martin, the roofing mechanism should be reliable and long lasting. It uses several layers of quality material to offer adequate sound insulation and is tested in extreme weather conditions. At the same time, the opening and closing system was checked over 100,000 times. The DB11 Volante uses the same aluminum platform as the hard-top version, and thanks to this it is firmer than its predecessor, while offering a 20% more luggage space.

Deliveries are expected to begin in the first quarter of the year, and in Germany, prices will start at 199,000 euros.
