The legendary Shelby GT350R race from 1965 will soon begin to re-produce, with the help of several people, deserving of the original version of this model.The GT350R will be restored to life as a Ford and Shelby license, and will be drafted by the Original Venice Crew team, which includes three former Shelby American’s 60s – Peter Brock, Jim Marieta and Ted Sutton.The re-branded GT350R is based on Ford Mustang since 1965 and will be powered by a 4.7-liter V8 in a pair with a 4-speed Borg Warner gearbox.

It is the same base used for the original Shelby, but with some modifications that Peter Brock predicted for the original model, then unrealized due to short time frames.Production starts this autumn, and the vehicle will be identical to the original, both mechanically and design ally. An exclusive series of only 36 units is planned.
