More than a year after the R8’s premiere of the convertible performance, Audi finally introduced the R8 Spyder V10 Plus, the most powerful convertible in the history of the brand – as it has 610 horsepower!

As with the “ordinary” R8 V10 Plus with a rigid roof, there’s a 5.2 liter V10 gasoline engine that delivers 610 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque here under the cover. This engine (which is also the most powerful Sergio-engineered engine from Ingolstadt) allows the super sports car to reach 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 328 kilometers per hour – that’s 0.3 seconds and 10 kilometers faster than “Ordinary” R8 V10 Spyder.

The color we see in the photos is exclusive to the R8 Spyder V10 Plus, and part of the package is also details in anthracite gray. The interior is almost all in black (as it should be), and is encased in high quality Nappa leather with green trim. Part of the standard equipment are carbon-ceramic brakes, sports seats, light-weight wrought-iron wheels and a large 12.3-inch display mounted in front of the driver.

Audi has already opened orders for the R8 Spyder V10 Plus – which in Germany will cost 207,500 euros. Deliveries will begin at the end of summer – a flair to capture the last sunny days of the year.
